Sales Director
Sales Director - Multiple openings in California, Colorado and Washington DC area.
Position Description
We are seeking an experienced sales professional to develop and manage new commercial and governmental clients for our solar power services division. The Sales Director is responsible for working with the Optony project management team and C-level contacts within the client company to formulate proposals, present our value proposition and close deals for our world-class services. We are looking for a team player with proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The candidate should be self-motivated, self-directed and have experience in the B2B, construction or energy fields.
The position reports to the VP, Operations and starts immediately after successful interviews.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in generating comprehensive proposals based on client needs and specifications along with input provided by the Optony project management and service delivery teams.
- Develop engaging client-focused presentations and lead client contract negotiations.
- Actively pursue and supporting the achievement of aggressive sales goals.
- Research targeted accounts and candidate sites to determine preliminary feasibility and develop a tailored value proposition.
- Develop and maintain a full understanding of solar power economics and how they impact clients.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire suite of Optony services and products.
- Coordinate with project management and service delivery team to ensure client satisfaction and delivery of value.
- Identify and evaluate potential competitors and partnership opportunities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated successful experience in B2B sales.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate executive-level finance and business concepts.
- Excellent oral, presentation and negotiation skills are required.
- Highly motivated self-starter with an intense desire to learn, form relationships and close deals.
- Superior web research, fluency with MS Office and various communication tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analysis, writing and sales proposal skills.
- Refined multi-tasking, scheduling and time management skills are essential to success.
- Highly effective at creating and summarizing information for compelling presentations.
- Understanding of utility rate structures and/or solar energy desired but not required.
- Familiarity with construction or commercial property development a plus.
- Past experience in selling to government entities a plus.
