Position Description

Director of Manufacturing Equipment

Optony Inc. is a developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art thin-film photovoltaic cells and modules, and our headquarter office is in San Jose, CA and our manufacturing facility is located in HangZhou, China. We are looking for highly motivated and goal oriented hands-on Engineers and Scientists to join our team. Travel may be required for for this positions up to 50% of the time. What You'll Do:

• Evaluate, screen, and order current off-the-shelf production equipment.
• Design or coordinate the design of company’s core production equipment and plan for large scale manufacturing line.
• Define plans to reduce costs while improving quality from equipment perspective.
• Assist with identifying and implementing tool performance enhancements.
• Provide training where applicable to the engineering/manufacturing team.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• M.S. or Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Must have 10+ years technical experience in semiconductor equipment industry; CIGS thin-film PV manufacturing related equipment preferred.
• Strong analytical, communicative, organizational and project management skills.
• Experience developing structured project plans from planning, execution and closure.
• Experience managing multi-party project communication, issues, risks, change control, and quality assurance.
• Ability to work with global equipment vendor and customer base.
• Need to be available to work with various time zones: US, European & Asian.
